In Living Color

2019

In a New England Home feature titled "In Living Color," interior designer Jocelyn Chiappone, founder of Digs Design Company, collaborated with architect Donald Powers to rejuvenate a historic Greek Revival home on Providence's Benefit Street. The early 1860s residence required thoughtful modifications to suit contemporary living while preserving its architectural integrity.

Chiappone's design approach introduced a sophisticated yet comfortable mix of colors and textures, prominently featuring bright blues and greens. She balanced these vibrant hues with neutral elements, such as gray cabinetry in the kitchen, to prevent the palette from becoming overwhelming. Chiappone explained her choice for the cabinetry, stating she desired something neutral yet warmer than white.

The project's success underscores Chiappone's talent for mixing styles and using vivid color to create distinctive homes for her clients. Her work has been featured in several publications, including New England Home, Rhode Island Monthly, and Southern New England Home, showcasing her knack for creating spaces that enchant and comfort.

This renovation exemplifies Digs Design Company's commitment to superior project management and fine attention to detail, making it a noteworthy addition to any press page highlighting their exceptional design capabilities.
