Inherited Grace

MAY/JUNE 2026

Digs Design Company is featured in New England Home’s May/June 2026 issue in the article “Inherited Grace,” which highlights Jocelyn Chiappone’s transformation of a multigenerational Martha’s Vineyard residence into a fresh, livable retreat for its next chapter.

The project reflects Digs Design Co’s signature “Digs Mix,” balancing architectural integrity with relaxed, personality-driven interiors. As noted in the article, the goal was to honor the home’s legacy while creating a space that feels “young and bright—but not trendy,” resulting in a design that is both timeless and approachable.

Throughout the home, Chiappone emphasizes connection to the surrounding landscape, with reworked interiors and expansive openings that frame sweeping water views. A palette of soft neutrals and greens allows the setting to take center stage, while layered textiles, vintage-inspired furnishings, and subtle pattern introduce warmth and depth. As the designer shares, “the view is the star,” guiding a restrained yet inviting approach.

From the light-filled great room to the thoughtfully detailed bedrooms, each space reflects a seamless blend of heritage and modern ease. The result is a home designed to evolve over time—rooted in history, yet distinctly reflective of Digs Design Co’s refined and livable aesthetic.
