MARTHA’S VINEYARD MAGAZINE
In Their Blue Era
FALL/WINTER 2026-2027
Featured in Martha’s Vineyard Magazine’s Fall-Winter Home & Garden 2026–2027 issue, Jocelyn Chiappone, owner and head designer of Digs Design Company, transforms a 4,000-square-foot Edgartown summer home into a welcoming coastal retreat for a family of five. Collaborating with renowned architect Patrick Ahearn and Adam Moran Construction, Chiappone brings a fresh perspective to classic island living through a confident blue-and-white palette, thoughtful layering, and family-friendly materials.
Encouraging the homeowners to embrace color beyond their original neutral vision, Chiappone creates interiors that balance New England coastal character with livability. As she explains, “We found a very hardy indoor-outdoor fabric that is extremely soft to the touch, and I used performance fabrics anywhere we could.” Nautical-inspired details, textured wallcoverings, vintage furnishings, and carefully selected accents give each room a distinct sense of place.
The feature also highlights Digs Design Co’s signature full-service approach, with Chiappone and her team completing the home's final installation in a single day, down to fresh flowers, styled candles, and made beds. The result showcases the firm's expertise in creating polished, personalized interiors that are both beautiful and ready to live in.
