Cape Cod Home Summer 2026

In the Summer 2026 issue of Cape Cod Home, Jocelyn Chiappone, owner and head designer of DIGS Design Company, is celebrated for transforming a beloved Scraggy Neck waterfront home into a vibrant retreat designed to bring generations of family together. The feature highlights Chiappone’s signature approach to layering color, pattern, texture, and custom details while honoring the home’s classic Cape Cod character.

Chiappone explains her philosophy of creating a distinct sense of place, saying, “We want clients to walk in and feel like they are on vacation.” Throughout the home, she incorporated thoughtful details including custom millwork, vintage furnishings, bold wallpaper, layered textiles, and one-of-a-kind pieces created by the DIGS Design workroom.

The article also explores Chiappone’s ability to balance bold design choices with the architecture of a home. “The design of our interiors always has a strong connection to the architecture of the home,” she notes, allowing the residence’s individual rooms to become distinct color stories with their own personality.

Ultimately, the project reflects Chiappone’s guiding philosophy: “Our goal is creating Joy.” The result is a timeless, highly personal Cape Cod home designed to be enjoyed for generations.
